Basic Route 53 concepts:
1.-First we will create DNS record for Amazon EWC2 instance
From the main console go to EC2 and click there
Go to Instances
We will copy the public DNS
The, go to route 53 , hosted zone
Click on create a hosted zone
Go to Record set.. Fill this up accordingly the graphics
Click create
You should see this results:
2.-Create a hosted zone for your domain
This will take you to here..Domain registration
Go to Hosted Zone
Create a Hosted Zone
We will submit this information
we will copy this information
Click on "route- labs-10.com" twice
We will copy from the values created in public DNS instances (section 1) part of the lab to the "Value Section"
On the type of DNS, we will put CNAME; we will use the name "Mytest" on the record set; we will put the value of the public DNS of the instances we already created
We see here that they were successfully created
3.-Add a Route 53 health check to an Amazon Web server
Go to Amazon Route b53 Console, click on Health Check
Copy in the same way on the console
Above click on create a health check button.
The status will be "unknown" first
We will go to refresh button... and check our situation
We will wait for a minute.
We will click refresh
After running the health check we see it's healthy. The lab is successful and the lab is done.
